Trace is small and early. Rather than list roles that are not funded and not scoped, this page states the position accurately and leaves a way to get in touch.

There is no hiring pipeline, no recruiter, and no list of roles waiting behind a form. When a role is funded and scoped it will be published here with its actual responsibilities and its actual compensation range.
If that changes
The kinds of work that would come first.
- Measurement and evaluation
- People who have built evaluation sets, argued about inter-annotator agreement, and know why a leaderboard without error bars is not a result.
- Scholarly infrastructure
- People who have worked with bibliographic metadata, identifiers, or repositories, and have the scars from affiliation strings and unlinked versions.
- Product engineering
- People who can build a dense, precise interface for experts and are willing to argue that a number should not be shown at all.
Getting in touch
Write, and expect an honest answer.
If the problem described on this site is one you have thought about seriously, a short note is welcome — what you have worked on, and what you think is wrong with the approach here. That is more useful than a résumé and considerably more interesting to read.
The reply may well be that there is nothing to offer right now. That is the likely answer at this stage, and it is better said quickly than left in a queue.
