Pricing

Individual plans in private beta. Enterprise pilots available.

Trace is early. Rather than publish a price that would be revised within a quarter, this page describes what each tier contains and how to get access. Cost is agreed in conversation, scoped to what is actually being measured.

Tiers

Three shapes of the same instrument.

The measurement does not change between tiers. What changes is the unit of analysis, the number of people who need to see it, and the controls required around it.

Researcher

One person, a small number of papers, and the work of getting them found.

Private beta

Researcher — what is included

  • Audit a paper or manuscript against a versioned query set
  • Retrieval, citation, and evidence-use measured separately
  • Terminology, title, and abstract-structure diagnostics
  • Availability and metadata defect list
  • A machine-readable research page per paper
  • Scheduled re-measurement and change history

Lab

A group, a shared body of work, and more than one person who needs to see it.

Private beta

Lab — what is included

  • Everything in Researcher
  • A shared portfolio across the group's output
  • Multiple seats with per-member attribution
  • Benchmarking against a declared comparison set
  • Synthetic stakeholder panels, labelled as simulated
  • CSV and JSON export with methodology version stamps

Enterprise

Publishers, institutions, and life-sciences teams measuring a catalogue rather than a paper.

Pilots available

Enterprise — what is included

  • Everything in Lab
  • Portfolio corpora at catalogue scale with field normalization
  • Role-based access, review states, and audit logs
  • Compliance modes separating scientific exchange from promotion
  • Customer-controlled model endpoints and configurable retention
  • API access and research-office exports
  • SSO, SAML, and directory sync on the roadmap, not available today

No published price list

There is no price on this page because there is not yet a price worth publishing. Individual plans are in private beta. Enterprise pilots are available and are scoped individually.

Questions

What people ask first.

Why are there no prices on this page?
Because there is not yet enough evidence about what the measurement is worth to a given team. Publishing a number now would mean inventing one. Individual plans are in private beta. Enterprise pilots available.
What does a pilot involve?
A scoped portfolio, an agreed query set, a defined measurement window, and a report your own reviewers can check against what they already know about the literature. Scope and cost are agreed before any work begins.
Is anything free?
The methodology, the benchmark definitions, and the written guides are public and will stay public. Access to the product itself is limited during private beta.
Does the price change what happens to my data?
No. Customer manuscript content is not used to train models on any tier, and that default is not purchasable, tier-gated, or waivable by a terms update.
